Very Useful Supplement, But Taste Is A Factor4
Well, I like this supplement on many scores. For those of us who just really don't enjoy swallowing tablets, this gel format goes down easier. Not only that, but the supplement has an incredibly useful grouping of ingredients, and those consumers who need an extra boost in these supplements may enjoy quick benefit from them. The omegas, CoQ10 and other ingredients have a lot more benefits than just heart health, so it's a fabulous grouping and I'm really enjoying that.

However, the company that makes this product really boosts your expectations in the taste department, only to disappoint. But for good, healthy reasons. This product has no sugar-soooo much better for your health, and makes this product accessible perhaps to diabetics. But when you taste it, there is a very bitter aftertaste that actually made my tongue tingle. The aftertaste is lingering, too. This is probably because the gel is sweetened with Stevia, which if you've ever used this all-natural sweetener, it is terribly bitter, but better for you.

Then maybe half a minute later, the fish taste started kicking in, though not as powerfully as with other supplements I've tried. The omegas probably come from fish oil, I'd surmise from this taste. And then of course with fish oil there's the occasional taste that comes into your mouth every once in a while, but again, I've tasted much worse.

But in the end, all the reasons this stuff tastes less than completely delicious is because of a health benefit. So I would probably still buy this for all those benefits. I can soldier through the taste, mostly because I know what else is out there, and I know the reasons are healthy.

If you are a Mitral Valve Prolapse sufferer with panic attacks as a result of that, you might want to try this. It may improve things for you.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Wash your lips before you kiss your spouse. There's fish oil in there.

Good product, trouble with packaging4
I think just about every doctor in America tells his or her patients to take an Omega-3 supplement for heart health...and just about every person that does gags the first time they try to swallow one of those fish pills and then have to deal with those "fish burps" - no one should ever have to suffer through those.

This little product could do the trick. The orange flavoring is not too bad - keep in mind it is supposed to be a healthful supplement so it is not going to taste like candy or juice - and the consistency is pretty smooth. I had a little more trouble opening the individual packages than I would have liked and once I could get them to open it was difficult to get open all the way. That is trouble if you are looking for something to take "on the go" because it is a pain to have to ask someone else to open it or to have to try to find scissors.

While this might be pricer than some other supplements offered, keep in mind that you are also paying for convenience. You pay more for milk when you stop at the gas station because you are paying to not have to walk all the way to the back of the grocery store. Here you have little ketchup-like packages to carry in your purse, bag, or pocket and those little packages cost money. For me, anything that can make my life easier while keeping me healthy is probably worth the cost.

Fantastic concept, less impressive execution3
I already take both CoQ10 and Fish Oil supplements--I take CoQ10 daily, but I only take the Fish Oil 3-4 times a week because the capsules are so large that I tend to avoid taking them. So, when I found a product that would give me these supplements TOGETHER and in a non-capsule form, I thought "This is perfect for me!"

The product comes in little foil packets (about the same size as a ketchup packet from a fast food joint). The nutritional information says that the serving size is 2 packets. Two packets provides 100 mg of CoQ10 and 3800 mg of Fish Oil. According to the package, included in the Fish Oil are 1280 mg of Omega 3 Fatty Acids, 680 mg of EPA and 440 mg of DHA. The product is sweetened with stevia leaf extract vs. sugar, which is good.

Having now tried the product, I still think that the CONCEPT is fantastic...however, I am much less enthusiastic about the execution. The product is pitched as tasting "like a juicy orange." Hmm. Does it have an orange-ISH taste? Yes. But not in my wildest imagination would I ever describe it as tasting "like a juicy orange." I found both the taste and the texture (which is creamy and thick, not liquidy as I had assumed) off-putting.

Since I tend to be a picky eater type, I took a packet to 2 of my friends who have less picky palates. One, like me, found both the taste and texture objectionable. The other said it was "not entirely unpleasant."

If I had liked the taste and texture, I would most definitely be taking my CoQ10 and Fish Oil in this product...but, unfortunately, I didn't like it even enough to finish the box of 30 packets (15 servings).
