Customer Reviews
Works, but I find this bizarre...
The following three products:
Seventh Generation Shower Cleaner / Sanitizer Natural Citrus Scent 32 Ounces
Seventh Generation Bathroom Cleaner / Sanitizer Natural Citrus Scent 32 Ounces
Seventh Generation Kitchen Cleaner / Sanitizer Natural Citrus Scent 32 Ounces
... all have IDENTICAL ingredients in them, according to the backs of their bottles:
Hydrogen peroxide (the active stain removal agent), biodegradable surfacants (for soil removal), citrus oil (for grease removal), food-grade, non-toxic oxygen stabilizers (to help the hydrogen peroxide last longer), Water.
However all three bottles have different UPC codes, and different codes on the bottoms of their bottles. 2110-4, 2110-5, and 2110-6.
Now perhaps each product has a different concentration of each of the above in them, but that seems strange... but having three different products with identical ingredients, catering to different things is strange as well... unless they wanted to try and maximize profits. "No, no, no, that's for the shower! No, that's for the kitchen!" I guess "All-Purpose will clean ANYTHING and GOOD for the ENVIORNMENT" was something the marketing team didn't want to try.
Anyway, as for the product itself, it sprays on, I see soapy cleaning bubbles, it smells nice, and wipes away clean. So it does its job. But again, I find the above mysterious.
Since these products, as of my writing, have varying stock status, some being 24 hours, others 1 to 2 weeks, you can rest assured that they're all just the same anyway.
It really, truly works
I'd been happy with other Seventh Generation products in past years. So when I went looking for a non-toxic solution to a mildew problem in my shower stall, I gave their Shower Cleaner a try. It did not disappoint.
For prevention of mildew, the key ingredient is hydrogen poroxide (unlike the ammonia or worse found in the toxic brands' products.) At first, all that remains after application is a faint, pleasant citrus scent and the slight foaming of the hydrogen peroxide wherever the cleaner pools. After it dries, there's nothing but clean surfaces and fresh air.
In high summer, before I started using this product, my shower stall had a faint, lasting mildew smell, even though it had been scrubbed to a shine. Now, using this after every shower, the air in the stall is clean; no mildew or mildew smell at all. Perfect.
Great No-Scent Cleanser
I am allergic to scented products and it is difficult to find any products with no scent. This whitens my showers and leaves them looking clean. I spray it on my dry shower, smooth it on evenly with a sponge and let it dry. Its simple and effective. Seventh Generation is the only line of unscented products I've been able to find. I'm thankful for them.
