Customer Reviews

Big Disappointment1
After owning a similar pair of Bostonians for about 6 months, I decided to try shopping online for shoes, since the older ones I own were some of the most comfortable dress shoes I've ever owned right out of the box. They were very close to the Centaur - "2 Pod" comfort strips, same size, and they even look pretty similar - but they are in black instead of the brown I got these in.

Unfortunately, that wasn't the only difference between the two pairs. When I put the Centaurs on, I immediately noticed how little pliability the leather had, as it was pinching the backs of my ankles and the tops of my feet where the tab is. I also felt like they were crushing my right big tow and left little toe. After just a day of walking in these, I have a fairly large blister at the back of my left ankle and both my left big toe and right little toe are sore.

It looks like I'll still have to resort to go to retail stores to get shoes so that I can try before I buy, since these were obviously a waste of money. I'm hoping the Centaurs are an outdated design that aren't indicative of how the rest of the Bostonian "2 Pod" line are.

Not Buying These a Second Time2
They look better than they feel. There are better shoes out there if you are seeking comfort. Okay shoe.
