Written as a 7-day meditation.

Add it to your library if you do not have it already.

	The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire: Harnessing the Infinite Power of Coincidence (Chopra, Deepak) by Deepak Chopra Buy new: $10.08 / Used from: $1.81 Another practical volume from Chopra. It's been a while since I read it, but I distinctly remember the impact it made on me when I did the archetype exercise. It really helped me to zero in on the primary aspects of myself, and the power of metaphor.
	The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference by Malcolm Gladwell Buy new: $7.49 / Used from: $4.56 You might find this to be an odd title for this list, but Gladwell's unique and creative observations about what he calls "social epidemics" actually gave me immense insight into the power of intention and attraction, and helped me see what was needed in my life to create the impact I wanted to create. An utterly brilliant book.
	The Little Prince: Paperback Picturebook by Antoine de Saint-Exupery Buy new: $11.90 / Used from: $0.01 Surely NOT just for children, "The Little Prince" is a tale of loyalty, courage, imagination, love and life purpose told in a charming, metaphoric and subtle way. My number one favourite book of ALL time.
	Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse Buy used from: $4.75 Hesse's books are a part of my youth in the 1960s. However, I returned to this book a few years ago when I myself was turning 50, only to realise that Hesse himself had written this book when he was 50, and the book itself was about his own mid-life soul journey. A fascinating Jungian voyage into the subconscious, Steppenwolf will always be one of my favourite books.
	The Anatomy of Peace: Resolving the Heart of Conflict Buy new: $10.76 / Used from: $8.99 The "must have" sequel (actually "prequel") to "Leadership and Self-Deception". I think I actually liked this one better than its predecessor. Basically, this book is about "getting real" to create a more peaceful world, showing us that actual peace always starts with Self.
	The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield Buy new: $10.04 / Used from: $0.01 While I found Redfield's story and writing style to be not particularly compelling, I must admit that I was fascinated with how he lays out his personal beliefs and philosophies in this book. I was particularly drawn in by his ideas on how we steal energy from one another. Very interesting. This book helped me reflect on how modern consciousness is evolving. Definitely worth the read.
	Narcissus and Goldmund by Hermann Hesse Buy new: $7.50 / Used from: $0.01 My other favourite Hesse classic. The two title characters really represent the two archetypal sides of the Self, which we commonly view as the sacred and the profane, and how true happiness can only come about when the two embrace each other. A wonderful book.
	Sybil by Flora Rheta Schreiber Buy new: $9.99 / Used from: $5.25 You might find this (sometimes disturbing) book to be a strange title to be on this list. What this book opened up to me was greater insight into the mind-body-spirit connection, and how our emotions can manifest both physical and mental illness.
	Leadership and Self Deception: Getting Out of the Box by The Arbinger Institute Buy used from: $4.99 While number 1 in business management books, this book (and its companion "Anatomy of Peace") is actually about how we lie to ourselves and how to cultivate self-honesty for the purpose of better relationships and personal fulfilment.
	Dark Night of the Soul by St. John of the Cross Buy new: $11.95 / Used from: $9.81 Not just a book for Catholics (or even Christians), this intense, self-reflective volume takes the reader through the spiritual experience of the mystic, through the vehicle of powerful symbolism that transcends religious dogma.
	Flight to Arras by Antoine De Saint Exupery Buy used from: $4.50 St Exupery wrote this wonderful book as a reflection of his flight on a reconnaissance mission over France during WW2. That may sound dry, but it is one of the finest statements on the inhumanity of war I have ever read. Understated, poetic, powerful, beautiful. It also helps you understand the heart of the man who wrote the classic book The Little Prince.
