Editorial Reviews

From Publishers Weekly
Bestselling author and international conference speaker Bevere (Driven by Eternity and Bait of Satan) is known for his trademark theme of believing in God for the impossible. Fans won't be disappointed by the similar all things are possible tone in this book on the need to integrate the principle of honor into every aspect of life, both functionally and spiritually. Bevere's focus on the biblical doctrine of honoring those governing authorities, whether in the civil, church, family, and social arena, is substantiated through scripture. Still, many in non-charismatic evangelical churches will take issue with the author's presumptive stance on ministers' right to receive double honor in the form of material wealth. Recounting the numerous times he has witnessed opulent gifts and preferential treatment bestowed upon him and other Christian servants as outward signs of being honored, Bevere provides an endless litany of hotel accommodations, presents, and the like. This reads as distasteful and greedy when contrasted with the fact that even Christ had nowhere to lay his head. The principle of honor is a worthy one, but Bevere's approach deteriorates too frequently into a what's-in-it-for-me tenor. (Nov. 15)

Godly Honor5
The Scriptues declare that the way we treat others is the way we treat Jesus Himself. If we honor others, we honor Jesus.

The Bible also states that if we honor others in Christ name we will be honored ourself. The blessings of God rest upon one who honors others.

This book explains why and how to honor others in all type of relationships from church, marriage, work, family, and government.

It really helped me realize that dishonor is rampant in our society and how it is not to be the norm for a believer. It encouraged me to do a better job in honoring others which in turn improved my life.

Absolutely brilliant!5
An absolutely brilliant book! We have lots of John's books and love them all, but this has got to be the best!! As a pastor myself, this book will revolutionise the church in the Western World. We have already bought copies for all our key leaders. Very much needed in these times. Everything pertaining to God is holy and sacred, including his church, his leaders and his people.... and this book speaks to a lot of the familiarity and carnality in the western church. Well done John!! Thank you for honouring God like you do...and thanks for helping restore the word that a lot of kiwis find so hard to do...."honour". Growth of the NZ church depends on it.

Honor's Reward5
This is one of the most life changing books I've ever read. It has much practical application and is a real wakeup call to all for today.
