Amazon.com Product Description
Any Bionicle fan would love to tell time with this Toa Hordika watch by LEGO. The white dial face features a Toa Hordika image along with easy-to-read numbered indexes and 3 luminous hands. The non-allergenic poly-carbonite band has easy-to-use Velcro with a clip-on clasp and features a 3-dimensional red Toa head right on the strap. The case and bezel are also made of non-allergenic poly-carbonite, and the interchangeable bezel allows you to mix and match Bionicle watch accessories for additional fun. This durable, analog-quartz watch is water resistant up to 165 feet, so it is as ready for adventure as the Bionicle watch wearer.
Customer Reviews
My kid thinks it cool
My son thinks that this watch is really cool. But from a parnets perspective the watch is cheaply made. I expect it to last, if I'm lucky for one month. The velcro separated from the rubber band after only 3 days.
Great first watch
My kid loves this watch. It is both confortable for him to wear and helps him parctive his ability to tell time without digital numbers. overall it is well worth it.
I expected better
It looks and feels significantly cheaper than what I actually paid for, almost 'McDonald's Happy Meal' cheap. Made in China, of course.
The dial face is quite small, about 5/8" and, due to the art, the small, dark-grey on off-white numbers are not exactly easy to read. The band is made of nylon and the Hordika faces appear to be plastic or rubber. The band's 'lock' is Velcro. The manual shows the watch could be accessorized with additional Lego elements.
The battery is included but the watch is not working while in the box because the knob used to adjust the time is held in the 'off' position by a small, barely visible piece of transparent plastic. There is no mention of it in the pamphlet that serves as manual but, once the plastic is removed and the knob is pushed down, the watch begins to operate.
I hope the kids are going to like these, because they like LEGOs (I have the Visorak on order for my other boy) but, for a watch, it's not an impressive unit, not even for the relatively low price it sells for.
