![]() | Bridget Jones - The Edge of Reason (Widescreen Edition)
Buy new: $5.98 / Used from: $0.95 Renee Zellwegger was robbed of the Oscar for the first movie and again she wasn't recognized for making a tired sequel and an annoying character actually funny.
![]() | Scream (Dimension Collector's Series)
Buy new: $11.49 / Used from: $2.49 Rose McGowan- she wasn't the lead and didn't have the powerful death scene like Drew Barrymore, but she was so convincing and natural as Tatum that I felt bad she died
![]() | Aliens (Two-Disc Collector's Edition)
Buy new: $7.49 / Used from: $3.50 Sigourney Weaver delivered the classic line of the series and made women as action stars a hot commodity. Too bad two crappy sequels followed and two more if you consider the AVP series
![]() | Batman Returns (Two-Disc Special Edition)
Buy new: $26.98 / Used from: $4.23 Michelle Pfeiffer was the perfect Catwoman-demented, sweet and hottt!
![]() | Romancing the Stone (Special Edition)
Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $4.38 I always thought Kathleen Turner was a better actress than anyone in the business has given her credit for, but then again, Academy voters prefer boring, heavily campaigned for trash like Shakespeare in Love over a fun, adventure movie and it's actors.
![]() | Peggy Sue Got Married
Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $2.72 Kathleen Turner got her Oscar nod and deservingly. She was the emotional core of the movie
![]() | Serial Mom (Collector's Edition)
Buy new: $15.99 / Used from: $10.87 Again Kathleen Turner making a serial killer mom a likeable character and funny. No matter how many times I've watched this movie, her crank call always makes me laugh
![]() | Troop Beverly Hills
Buy new: $7.99 / Used from: $3.99 Shelly Long-another overlooked actress-made a movie I would never watch one of my favorite comedies
![]() | Wedding Crashers (Unrated Widescreen Edition)
Buy new: $5.99 / Used from: $0.97 Isla Fischer-the hot red head-could have just phoned in the role and been okay but instead she added that extra bit of crazy that made her memorable.
![]() | Addams Family Values
Buy used from: $3.77 Joan Cusack added that extra bit of absurdity to her black widow nanny that this sequel-in my opinion- was better than the original
![]() | Last Holiday (Widescreen Edition)
Buy new: $13.49 / Used from: $2.59 Queen Latifah is a natural. She created a sympathetic character without making her seem too saintly or ordinary. She made the movie work.
![]() | Cruel Intentions
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $1.82 Sarah Michelle Gellar made an excellent villian. She never went over the top with her performace but instead was controled, balanced and entertainly evil. Another under valued actress.
![]() | The Opposite of Sex
Buy new: $21.49 / Used from: $4.98 I never intended to see this movie but caught it one night on Showtime, I always liked Christina Ricci but she never had a strong role up until this movie. Even though Lisa Kudrow-whom got stereotyped as the ditzy blonde but as evidenced in this movie could be alot more effective as more complex characters -could have stolen the movie--but the two share that honor.
![]() | Look Who's Talking
Buy new: $10.99 / Used from: $1.99 Normally I wouldn't have sympathy for a woman whom gets pregnant from a cheating, wealthy guy but Kristie Alley gave her character a genuine touch which made you believe she realized she needed to change her ways and do what is best for her child without any lenghty, preachy, Academy Award screaming speeches.
![]() | Hannibal (Two-Disc Special Edition)
Buy new: $17.49 / Used from: $1.09 Julianne Moore had big shoes to fill but she made it work. She will probably never get the praise Jodi Foster did but she emotionally matured Agent Starling quite nicely.
![]() | Scary Movie 3 (Full Screen Edition)
Buy used from: $0.01 Regina Hall is another great, comedic character actress. But since she's funny, she'll never get critical acclaim. She made all 4 of the movies worth watching, most notably in this one. When Brenda Meeks dies, the movie died a little also
![]() | Freeway (Widescreen Edition)
Buy new: $9.49 / Used from: $3.52 The first Reese Witherspoon movie I remember. She was white trashriffic
![]() | Out of Sight (Collector's Edition)
Buy new: $8.49 / Used from: $3.76 Jennifer Lopez- if she kept getting roles like Karen Sisco, she would still have a career
![]() | Parenthood (Special Edition)
Buy new: $8.49 / Used from: $6.86 Diane Wiest as the troubled, single mom. I remember feeling bad for her throughout the entire movie. She stood out in a role that could have been lost among all the other great ones in the movie
![]() | Jerry Maguire
Buy new: $12.99 / Used from: $1.34 Renee Zellwegger was the emotional center of the movie. To bad she was overshadowed by the little kid in the glasses.
![]() | Miss Congeniality / Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous (Double Feature)
Buy new: $9.99 / Used from: $5.49 Sandra Bullock produced and starred in her perfect comic foil role--made someone whom you would avoid in real life; a likeable, unintentionally funny action star
![]() | Lara Croft - Tomb Raider (Special Collector's Edition)
Buy new: $8.99 / Used from: $0.01 Angelina Jolie was the perfect choice for Lara. She has the body and the edge of the character and the accent down pat.
