Renee Zellwegger was robbed of the Oscar for the first movie and again she wasn't recognized for making a tired sequel and an annoying character actually funny.

I always thought Kathleen Turner was a better actress than anyone in the business has given her credit for, but then again, Academy voters prefer boring, heavily campaigned for trash like Shakespeare in Love over a fun, adventure movie and it's actors.

Julianne Moore had big shoes to fill but she made it work. She will probably never get the praise Jodi Foster did but she emotionally matured Agent Starling quite nicely.
