Great fit for wide feet!
As soon as I slipped into these I knew I got the right shoe. I typically have to wear a 4E in an athletic/running shoe, so I was worried about fit when I went looking for my first pair of bike shoes. I tried the "wide" version of several brands (including Lake and Shimano), but nothing came close to how well these fit.
Since these are my first pair of bike shoes I have nothing to compare them to; however, they are very light, stiff, and well made. I ride on the road mostly but chose the MTB style because I wanted a shoe that was easier and more comfortable to walk in. They are a nice compromise between a bulkier MTB shoe and a pure road shoe. I use these shoes with Shimano M520 pedals (compact, double-sided for MTB/road) and together they make a solid entry level system.
Mega option is a great idea
I am very satisfied with the Sidi Bullt 2 Mega Mesh shoes. If width is an issue I would recommend the Mega option every time. I also agree with other reviews I have read that say if length is an issue it is better to get the next size up. If you get that right they really do fit like a glove.
Delivery was a few days later than stated but I though a 7 to 10 day delivery to Australia as originally stated may have been too optimistic anyway.
Overall a very good experience to get shoes not stocked locally.
Finally found them
I have been searching for literally decades (I'm 60) for a pair of cycling shoes to fit wide feet. These not only relieve my bunions (from narrow cycling shoes), but they are extremely well-made.
