About the Author
Anne Meeker Miller, Ph.D., is the founder of the Love Language™ Program. She teaches Baby Sing & Sign™ series and seminars at a major medical center in the Kansas City area. Through her writing and workshops, she shares information about the benefits of music, sign language and play for babies, and gives easy and practical strategies for embedding all three into the daily lives of families. Miller believes children deserve to have rich musical lives from the start. A folk singer since shortly after birth, she has “seen and sung” it all – from pop and jazz to the classics. Miller has taught music to students from preschool to college, and was recently named the 2004 Educator of the Year for Arts and Disabilities by the Kansas State Department of Education and Accessible Arts. She received the Excellence in Teaching Award given by the Learning Exchange, Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and The Kansas City Star. She was a commission member of the Housewright Symposium on the Future of Music Education sponsored by the Music Educators National Conference. Her inspiration for Baby Sing & Sign™ resulted from her experiences as a music therapist, parent educator, vocal performer and parent.

We Love Sign and Sign!5
My kids love the music and the signs are easy to teach. My daughter signs to my son and he UNDERSTANDS!

baby sing and sign4
This book provides easy to follow songs and signing for your toddler. This might be considered the first step in teaching your baby how to sign. After reading through the book, I got ideas about engaging activities to perform with my child, but wished there were more displays of words to sign.

Gramma too!5
What an amazing concept, the ability to communicate with my granddaughter at 10 months. The author is able to make her musical notes jump right off the page with easy-to-read explanations & signs. I particularly enjoyed the stories which made this phenomenon come to life. This has become my "baby bible" as I continue to re-read and practice as often as I can, and now at 14 months, signing has become second nature to my granddaughter, i.e. "please, more, all done, milk, love," etc. The accompanying CD is unmistakably the highlight of our day as we sign, sing, and dance to the author's melodies. A "must" for any library, young or old!
