Who Were the Beatles?4
I am in fourth grade and I enjoyed reading this book. I read this book for a book report for school. It tells about all the Beatles lives. I learned about John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. When they were twenty-something they were asked to go to Germany, but their parents wouldn't let them. They just went and their dressing room was in the bathroom. I felt sad for them. My favorite part was when they played at Shea stadium. There were 50,000 people! The book doesn't talk all about the Beatles. It talks about the Vietnam War and three famous people who got shot. At the end, there is a timeline of the Beatle's lives and one about the world. You should read this book because it's very interesting.

My 8 year old loved it!5
My 8 year old son picked this book because he loves The Beatles. We both learned a lot about them as he read the book to me. There is information on the childhood of each member, how the band formed, the band's history and each member after the break-up. There was quite a bit in there that I did not know prior to reading the book. A great book for a kid who loves The Beatles and wants to learn more about them. The book also has pictures which makes it fun for the those kids who can read chapters but still enjoy picture books. It was easy for my third-grader to read but he reads at a fifth or sixth grade level. I am sure my son will read this book again and again.

a kid's review4
The book "who were the Beatles?" is a biography about the Beatles. The story is about four guys from Liverpool, England and how they became world famous stars. The main characters are Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. They played in clubs, bars, and then one day one man named Brian Epstein asked them to play their first concert in Hamburg, Germany. The Beatles ran into a few problems like fighting over songs. Paul is my favorite Beatle because he is the lead singer and guitarist.

I can relate to the feelings of success. When I learn a song without the book on my guitar, I feel successful. I like the book because it is about a band and I want to be in a band.

I like the book because all the characters were interesting. My favorite part of the book is when John gets shot, it was exciting but sad.

I would recommend this book to people who like a little suspense and history.
