Editorial Reviews
From the Manufacturer
This Package includes the Slammer, a professional stapling hammer in high-visibility neon green and conveniently held in a durable leather holster. The Slammer's compact design and one-hand operation make it great for tacking felt and mounting signs. Kit comes with 1000 3/8-Inch Bostitch PowerCrown staples.
Customer Reviews
Simpler is better
I've owned every slap hammer stapler you can imagine. This is one of my favorites. It is so simple. If you like jams this tool is not for you. It just doesn't jam up like the others that are more complicated. I refuse to buy any more of the arrow and duo-fast staplers. I have some of the 100.00 Stanley H2B's but they are just gathering dust. I prefer these cheap little slammers any day of the week.
Bostitch does it right
I think the real selling point of this one is the holster. For contractors (especially roofers), a holster is a necessity for the job -- and how often do you see a retailer that sells slap-tacker holsters? And you can trust the quality of every tool Bostitch puts their name on. I'd say this one is a keeper for anybody in the market for slap-tackers.
Simple, never jams, durable.
Only reason why 4 and not 5 stars is difficulty in getting staples. I put up a 24 x 36, 3-car, two-story garage this summer - me and a crew of 4 hispanic folks doing the house wrap and felt. Had two of these and an Arrow slapper. These were easier to load when on a ladder, and the HOLSTER is simply a must. Very light tool. The only bad thing is that I started to run out of Bostich staples and could not find more in town, which led me to buy the Arrow. The Arrow was good in that if you occasionally didn't drive the staple in all the way, you could flip the head around and use it as a real hammer. However, the lack of a holster and the difficulty of reloading while balanced high on a ladder meant that the Bostich was much more useful.
