Nice Jigsaw, Great Price!
The Skil 4390-01 cuts well and is a real bargain at $40.00. Not as smooth as the Bosch and could use a little larger base but everything else is pretty good. Very easy blade change and the blower works great to keep your line visible. The saw does vibrate quite a bit so if your looking for a real high quality jig saw you might want to go with the Bosch.

An Excellent Jigsaw! Fits The Hand Nice & Handles Well! Has Some Nice Features, Such As A Lighted Cutting Area, Storage Area For Blades, Which Is Also The Vaccum Attachment Area. Adjustable Speed and Cut And Does Not Vibrate Badly. Easy and Quick QD,For Blade Changes! Roller On Back Side Of The Blade For Stablization! Base Plate Could Be A Little Wider, But This Is A Nitpick, This Saw Is Very Stable!!! An Edge Guide Can Also Be Attached To Ths Saw And Purchased Seperatley! A Very Versatile Saw And Comes In A Plastic Carrying Case. This Unit Has Some Heft To It, Can Work With This Tool All Day! Not A Light Weight Cheapy!!!! Good Buy For The Money!

This jigsaw was the closest replacement to a 25 year-old jigsaw that I had tried several times to replace. I even threw one of the new ones in the trash it was so bad. I have other Skil power tools I have relied on for many years and should have started with that line when I started looking to replace my old jigsaw. Skil makes a quality jigsaw.
