Product Description

Single layer construction. Easy Access Drawcords with Barrel Lock Closures permit closure of drawcords on collar. The cords are either flat or round, allowing users to easily adjust collars in low light situations. Hook and Loop Closures provide firm closure of the bag and prevent zippers from separating or opening. Anti-Snag Zipper Protection is sewn along the draft tube and zipper to ensure reliable zipper operation. Draft Tubes are baffles sewn adjacent to the zipper to keep cold air out and prevent heat loss through the zipper coils. Weather Wedge is a small piece of triangular fabric that is sewn at the base of the zipper to prevent heat loss at the zipper's bottom. This also reduces stress at the point where the zipper is sewn for greater durability. Vented Foot Box (patent pending) zips open to provide added room and thermo regulation for maximum comfort in a wide-range of temperatures and environments. Trapezoid Foot Box provides space in which the feet remain in a natural position for better comfort. Compression stuff sack included.

Customer Reviews

great bag for light travel4
Bought this sleeping bag for its light weight. Great for warmer weather hiking, camping. Also liked the expandable foot area, as mummy-style bags are too narrow for comfortable sleeping (for me - my feet have to have room..).

Not a 40 degree bag1
I bought two of these for lightweight camping in MN this summer. Don't plan on being anywhere near comfortable down to 40 degrees. This is a 50 to 55 degree bag at best. It also seems shorter than most regulars I have been in, and I had problems with the zipper getting stuck/coming off every night. Mine is going back, used or not.

Forty Degree is optimistic2
This is a great SUMMER bag, but if you are even thinking about using this for spring or fall (the temps here in Michigan get into the 40-50 degree range at night) look elsewhere. My feel never got warm, which lead me to find my extra thick socks in the middle of the night while everyone else was rather warm in their bags. My kids have the Super Guide 30 and they were sweating. To make matters worse, the zipper in the footbox occasionally came open in the middle of the night to add to my late night chill.
