Product Description

Whether new to the show or a diehard fan, this illuminating guide to the Emmy and Golden Globe Award–winning television program Lost helps viewers piece together the latest additions to the puzzle from season three with detailed discussions of the multitudinous characters, their spotty backgrounds, and the mysterious islands. Thorough examinations of each episode provide fresh insight into the baffling world of both the plane crash survivors and the Others—including why the Others have compounds on both the main and smaller islands, how each organizational hierarchy developed, and who is really behind the Dharma Project—while additional chapters explore the historical figures, books, religious iconography, and other clues scattered throughout the show. Dozens of previously unpublished on-set photos and new cast member biographies are also included.

Nikki Stafford has done it again...5
About two years ago, I picked up "Finding Lost" by Nikki Stafford. I expected it to be a simple episode guide to the first two season of Lost, and wanted to refresh my memory before the third season started.
Boy, was I wrong.
Not only was the book a guide, but it also was an insightful look into what everything meant and offered many interpretations about the show. And I loved every page of it.
Now, here I am again, holding Season Three's book in my hands. I am happy to say that Nikki Stafford has done it again. Her views and insights on each episode paint a clearer picture of what the characters, writers, and producers may have been thinking. Each section is not a 'recap,' because like the book says, nothing would ever be able to substitute for the show. However, it does provide a background and overall review of the episode, and offers the reader many different opinions about what actually happened.
Following each section are several informative sub-sections. Each one explores other areas of the episode, such as where the mysterious 'numbers' occur, interesting facts, blink-and-you-miss moments, foreign language translations, production mistakes, and much, much more.
All in all, Nikki Stafford knows her stuff. Not only that, but she knows how to write, too. A most excellent read for ANY Lost fan, from the most hardcore to the casual viewer. I highly recommend this book.

Great guide for season three5
I love this show, its the best on TV. I've also found this book to be very good also. Now I'm going back and watching all the seasons over to find secrets and clues that I may have missed for season three.

One of the things LOST introduced me to was the Twilight Zone which J.J. Abrams was inspired. Besides this book, I recommend one other also on Amazon.com. THE TWILIGHT ZONE: Unlocking the Door to a Television Classic by Martin Grams. Together, both books open the skies for cult television.

Fascinating and Fun5
This was actually the first of Nikki's books that I picked up. I was addicted to Lost, but didn't know where to start when it came to websites, blogs and books about the show. I happened to pick up this book and found a treasure trove of information. I couldn't believe all of the things that I had missed and it made me want to sit down and watch the show all over again.

With the episode by episode guide, Nikki points out details you might have missed, questions that were raised and other fun minutia (like where Hurley's numbers pop up... crazy!). The sidebars and book reviews break up the chapters and give you so much to think about.

A must have for every Lost fan :)
