Photo Perfect.4
Whoa, I just noticed the lack thereof reviews on this product ... shame, shame, girls.

Anyway ... I bought this primer, Smashbox® Photo Finish Color Correcting Foundation Primer, a month ago. I went with the green to adjust the redness and peeling from a once-great tan and any little post-acne breakout marks.

The positives are far greater than the negatives. The primer will get rid of 50-70% of any redness .. broken capillaries, irritations. However, blemishes, it does not seem to stick to. I recommend starting with a fresh, clean face and then applying the Smashbox® Photo Primer neatly with fingers or sponge to any areas you wish and then adding your own concealer to pimples. [ I always recommend M.A.C. for concealers. ] Let your primer and concealer set for 1-5 minutes and then add foundation, if needed. I would not suggest that use tinted moisturizer with this Photo Primer as it will not blanket well over your primer setting.

The negative to this primer is it's lack of blend ability. It has sort of a waxy feel, and if over-blending occurs, the primer will just flake off. Not to worry, after a certain amount of time you will get used to using it and it'll become second nature.

Second nature with great skin!

Four stars for a great primer with a pricey price tag and pic picture perfect. ****

works for me!5
I have very sensitive, acne-prone skin, so I'm using Retin-A to clear up my skin (by the way, Retin-A really works!), but the problem is it really leaves your skin flaky, sensitive, and dry. And I have very oily skin. So my problem was my skin was really dry in the morning after I wash my face, but by lunch time, my face will be more than "dewy," and at the end of the day, my foundation is nowhere to be found on my skin! This is my first week using this primer, and wow! My skin is not as oily all day, and my skin looks very fresh, and does a decent job of covering my old acne marks (but not perfect.. still needs foundation). I'm not sure if this primer makes your pores look smaller, but what I can say is that it leaves my skin not too dry and not too oily all day and my foundation (I use mineral foundation) stays fresh all day. And no breakouts. Highly recommended for dry yet oily skin like mine.

Helps combat my skin redness4
I'd been using the Smashbox Photo Finish in clear for a couple of years before I discovered the green tinted version. I really enjoyed the former because it helped my makeup glide on easily and helped prevent the creases I often saw in areas like my 'smile lines' after wearing foundation all day. I tried the green tinted version for the first time when, as a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding, a makeup artist prepared us for the big day. I've long dealt with redness on my cheeks and often, all over, and was impressed with how well this reduced the pink hue in my face. As the previous reviewer said, it probably decreased my redness by 50-70%. It helped my makeup stay lovely all day, despite heat and humidity. (Atlanta in August is tough on makeup.) With some minor touch ups with blotting paper I managed to stay fresh looking all day long. The only downside to the green tinted version as compared to the clear is I find that it has a slight chalky texture compared to the original which means that foundation doesn't glide on quite as well. However, overall I have been quite satisfied with this product. Since I have sensitive and acne prone skin I am also thrilled that this does not cause breakouts or irritate my skin. Overall, I highly recommend it if you're looking to conceal overall redness and help your foundation glide on easily.
