Amazon.com Product Description
Sony's FV series of WEGA TVs are a step up from the company's FS line, incorporating several enhanced features that provide an even better user experience. The improved features include an enhanced 16:9 aspect ratio, which maximizes the picture resolution for widescreen sources such as certain DVDs, and a 3D digital comb filter, which not only separates the color and luminance sources but also analyzes each frame in advance for the best possible picture. Accompanying the expanded options is the standard fare for which Sony WEGA TVs are known, including the wide viewing angle and distortion-free pictures of the Trinitron flat screens, the image-sharpening talent of scan velocity modulation, and the combination of Dynamic Focus and Dynamic Picture circuitry.

The TV is also well equipped to deliver outstanding audio with its Dynamic Acoustic Chamber (DAC) speaker system (15 watts x 2), MTS stereo decoder with DBX noise reduction, and SRS 3D audio effect, which simulates rich 5.1-channel surround sound in the two-speaker setup. The combined audio options let the viewer listen through the built-in speakers, select an outside audio source, and even listen to an alternate audio broadcast of the same program (SAP) when available. As an added bonus, the KV-32FV26 comes with a pair of wireless infrared headphones, which allows people to listen to their favorite programs in privacy.

Viewers will also appreciate the variety of convenient user features, which include a two-tuner picture-in-picture that broadcasts two programs at once, the ability to preview up to eight favorite channels without leaving the current channel), and SpeedSurf rapid channel scanning. People who dislike obnoxiously loud commercials will appreciate the Steady Sound volume equalizing, while viewers who regularly fall asleep to the TV will find the sleep timer--with its 15-, 30-, 45-, 60-, and 90-minute settings--a definite value. Other features include an express 181-channel tuning system, channel labeling for up to 40 stations, Freeze Memo (which pauses an image in the picture-in-picture window), a V-chip parental control, closed captioning, and color temperature adjustment. The TV's component video input ensures the best video quality for DVD players, while the two S-video inputs and three composite inputs connect all manner of other equipment, including VCRs, camcorders, video game consoles, satellite receivers, and more. The TV also includes four audio inputs, one audio output, one monitor out, a Control-S in/out, and three S-link outputs. In addition, the unit is Energy Star compliant.

Buyers Beware...3
At first glance this TV seemed great; it had amazing clearity, clear menu screens, and awesome sound. However, there was a tilt problem which I could not correct because the screen was already at +5 (which is the maximum). It was slightly off horizontal and it clearly needed technical adjustment. The bigger issue was a geometric distortion in the upper left hand corner of the screen. It appeared bowed down a bit and made it frustrating to watch especially with text or lines (like watching the biased, liberal CNN, for instance). Anyway, I called Sony and explained the issue and they referred me to a local "authorized" repair center. So, these two guys come one day, take the TV away and I don't see it for over SIX WEEKS! Apparently, it needed a part from Tokyo. When I got the TV back, not only did it have shmutz and some scratches on it, but the picture was actually worse; the tilt was still not fixed either. This got me thinking as to whether these guys did a damn thing to this 200 pound behmouth. Well, once again, I was forced by Sony to send it back to the same store. I got the TV back a week and a half later with the tilt corrected but the picture WAS STILL DISTORTED. Folks, when you buy a $1,700.00 tv, you would excpect it to be problem free. THE WEGAS HAVE SERIOUS GEOMETRIC DISTORTION PROBLEMS!!! I have read numerous other reviews on this issue and, unfortunately, there seems to be no remedy. I would suggest that you maybe look into other brands like Panasonic, although I do own a plethora of other Sony products and I love them. The Wega series just seems to be jinxed with technical glitches that Sony representatives refuse to acknowledge or be accomadating towards. If anyone wishes more info on this tv, you may email me.

Toshiba's have the same problem3
I got a Toshiba 32af41 and it has the same geometry distortion in the upper left corner. From what I've read almost all flat tube TVs have this problem. Buyer beware.
