Great visual quality!4
I have been searching for a new TV for awhile. And after agonizing for a couple of months, I finally decided on this one.

First, let me say that I had not been a Sony fan. That's because I had always thought their product is overpriced for the quality you get. But that has changed.

When I was comparing TVs, there were several TVs of the same size and price sitting next to each other. I compared the visual quality and the Sony just blows the others away. Next to HDTV, this Sony has the best quality.

The flat screen does what is advertised. Cuts out glare and better viewing experience.

The casing is another plus. I was thinking of getting one of those black casing TV but the silver casing looks so futuristic, stylish. I also like the buttons being on the top of the TV, even thou (with remote control) I'd only use it once in a month...

One thing that I don't like is the PIP channel surfing. It seems slow and freezes for a split second. Somewhat annoying. Also happens when you swap the PIP to the main screen. I guess that's why it's not a 5-star.

Overall, great set!

I bought one of these 5 years ago. in 2003 when movie I was trying to move it across the room and it flipped face first in the floor. Mind you I had paid like $200 for Sear's sorry 3-5 year? warranty and it turned out they wouldn't have replaced it or probably fixed it even though my sister worked there. I heard a sickening crash (like the picture tube/glass breaking). It still works and only has a dent it the top left. I think I got the remote a little wet years ago and it never worked again. Not a big deal since I have a directv remote, but I forgot I even had PIP because of no remote. From now on if I can afford it I will buy sony only. I bought an xplode cd player 2 years ago with no problems except a dead remote that I never use.
