Gray PVC jacket with color coded S-R PVC (red, black) stranded wires. 14 gauge wire consists of 19 x .0147 gauge strands of ASTM B-3, B-8, and B-286 copper. Maximum voltage rated 300V. Sequential footage markers to facilitate installation. Suitable for use from -20 deg C to +75 deg C. Meets NEC article 725 and 800 rating as well as California state fire marshall approval. Cheap speaker wire
I bought this speaker wire thinking that it wouldn't be that bad. But the cable is very cheaply made. The outer jacket is made of thin cheap plastic, and the insulation covering the wire itself was just as thin. and each strand of the wire itself was pretty thick. Overall avoid buying this item. Parts express had excellent customer service and refunded my money right away. In the future if i find something i need, i will buy through part express!

As Advertised
I needed some of this to run through my walls, and it works just fine. It's the best price I could find on 14 AWG CL3R, and it's just as advertised. No problems, no complaints.

Good stuff
I have used Carol speaker cable throughout my house. it is top quality. I would not put cheap wire through my walls. Much cheaper than the M* cable and just as good.
