disappointing blades
The replacement blades in the crash kit are flat bottomed balsa core blades with monocote or similar covering. They are VERY fragile just like the symmetric blades that shipped with the helicopter. If you are just learning I recommend some plasti blades that are crash resistant. I have had similar "incidents" with the plasti blades without ruining the pair. One tip with the balsa rotors and they are toast. I have not had a need for any of the other parts in the crash kit yet but am still just learning. The price for this kit is very reasonable, the bigger problem is the downtime when you have no functional rotors from a seemingly trivial incident.

Blades are too weak
Main blades are wooden and they don`t last too much. scratch easily.
Main blades should be the plastic ones, which are a lot more resistant.

My opinion on the crash parts for the Huey Chopper
The parts I received from Amazon were quality parts. The one thing wrong was I had parts to a remote control chopper instead of a model chopper put out by the Franklin Mint. Otherwise the parts were correct and would have been a snap to repair the remote chopper.
