Customer Reviews
great for a small space
I have a small apartment and this system is more than adequate for a small space. (SIGNIFICANTLY better quality than the 'ilive ipod boombox' I originally purchased and returned because of a constant low hiss in the speakers - and for about the same price. Pays to go with brands known for quality components, I guess)
FM radio reception is OK, though any but the strongest signals may get staticky at times - there is an antenna wire which looks kind of shabby snaked up around a lampshade for reception, but it works. Easy to attach a portable CD player to play things I haven't loaded onto the ipod. My only complaint - if there is a way to adjust bass, treble, balance, etc. I have yet to figure it out.
aural pleasure
I recently purchased this unit after extensive trial and error with nearly every other docking system in this price range. Trust me, the only units that come even close to the awesome sound quality delivered here cost at least double the price. I also own the GR 10i Teac Table Radio which is very similar, but for the shape of the unit. The only drawback of both is the fm antenna wire....it just doesn't work very well. How hard would it have been to include a real antenna?? I use it primarily with my ipod, so I still give it 5 stars; the sound quality is so good it makes up for the cheesy antenna. Nothing comes close to this (and the other Teac) in this price range.
Best sound for the price
I listened to multiple Ipod docks instore before deciding on this one. Though I could not find much info on the web about this particular brand, I chose it due to the overall sound quality and price. It sounds better than any other dock in the same price range. It has a good bass sound in a small package which is comparable to the Bose iPod dock but at a much lower price. It also has more features than the Bose with clock, sleep timer and FM receiver. Definitely recommended for a decent sound and price.
