Customer Reviews

Tremendous Overclock Potential5
I bought this card after seriously researching the 7900 GS and 7950 GT. The 7900 GS, which launched about 2 weeks before the 7950 GT, had stellar reviews across the board, with some cards (particularly the XFX 480) getting 30%+ overclocks! However, many reviews ended by saying, "This is a great card, but the 7950 GT is due out soon..."

So I waited, and waited... the 7950 GT was finally released at $100 more than the 7900 GS, and did not overclock nearly as well. So I purchased this XFX card.

The reviewers were spot-on about its overclockability. The card ships at 480/1400 (core/mem), but out of the box can run stable at 625/1680. I've got my card liquid-cooled with Al ramsinks running 630/1680 (the ram slider in coolbits doesn't go beyond 1680).

In short, this is an absolutely amazing card for the price. Don't get caught up in the DX10 $600 card launches; this card will last you well into 2007 with all new-release games.
