Belkin Surge Protector4
I haven't had a power surge since I installed this, so I don't have any comment on it's ability to protect equipment. As for line conditioning, I didn't expect to see or hear any difference in my equipment (I have a CRT television and watch over-the-air broadcasts), and I didn't.

I just have some comments on the box itself. It's a good looking, solidly built unit. It has the most robust looking power cord of any equipment that I've ever owned. The rear connections are well spaced and easy to use. There are some things that I'd like to point out to potential buyers, though:
1. The LCD display can be dimmed, but it can't be fully turned off. Fully dimmed in a dark room, it puts out about the same amount of light as one of those rectangular indigo night lights. I wish that I would have known that before I bought it.
2. The unit doesn't have an on/off button. To fully turn it off, it must be unplugged. Six of the eleven outlets are controlled by a power button on the front panel, but five of the outlets are not affected. For some reason, the high-current and analog outlets are switched, but none of the digital outlets are.

All in all, it's hard to get excited about a surge protector. This one seems like a good value. My only real complaint is that the front display can't be turned off.

Worth every penny!5
Worth every penny, I really do not know if I need to spend the extra money on power protector like this one but I'm glad that I did, this console performs nicely with my home theater set. I know some people complaining about the LCD Control Panel light! Its not to bad, and for the switched you need to plug your wires to the console first before you power-up, I had the same thing first and then I did some reading and I found out that I need to plug (TV, DVR, ACR,.etc) first and then power the PureAV, this way it will calculate how much power you need.

Overall, I'm happy with my choice.

WOW !!! A must have for all high $$$ Home Theaters5
This item is great. Well worth the price. I'm using with a 42" plasma and 1,000 Watt speaker and dual sub system. Major difference, TV is slightly clearer, but MUCH brighter! Sound seems crisp with 0 static noise. This unit also has a 8 second delay for sub powering on to avoid the THUMP, you would normally get with a surge of power going to it at power-on. This feature is not really mentioned in any descriptions (bonus). It is very large and heavy. I would just recommend measuring first to make sure that it will accommodate your desired space. LCD dims to almost pure dark. Other reviews state its too bright but you can dim it all the way down to nothing. AWESOME PIECE OF EQUIPMENT !!!
