The Probrella is a portable compact umbrella that tilts, slides up or down, adjusts side to side for 360° coverage to protect a 35mm or Medium Format film, digital or video camera. It protects against rain, sun glare on viewfinder, blocks sun flare on lenses and protects the equipment from heat damage and elements. It will fit any camera with a tripod screw socket or it mounts directly to tripod screw.

Helps as long as it isn't raining too hard
I have only used the Probrella a little so far. I could hear the raindrops on the umbrella over my head so I know it was helping; however, as is the case with a regular umbrella, it certainly doesn't keep your camera entirely dry. It probably would be best used the way the photo shows - on a tripod.

The Probrella is lightweight, but not compact enough for a camera bag; it fits in a day pack just fine. The umbrella slides into the mount, which has room for the umbrella to pivot so it can be tilted - good for use as a reflector (the inside of the umbrella is silver) but a bit of a surprise when I was first trying to use it for rain protection.

I suspect the Probrella will be fine for as much rain as I'm willing to have my camera out in anyway.
