Active fun for car loving toddlers
My son got this as a present from grandpa, and just loves it. He is 2.5, but I don't see where the "small parts" on this car are: it is just one piece. He doesn't know the film Cars, or the characters; he is just attracted to the bright red car, which is a great size for him to hold in both hands. He loves that it responds to the movement of him shaking with engine revving sounds. And it is exciting to see it take off suddenly after announcing "Speed! I am Speed!" or "The checkered flag is MINE!"

Mama loves that it isn't as loud as many toys. That he has a toy that invites, indeed needs, physical involvement: no more shouting "don't shake that!" I also love that it doesn't go so far .... he shakes it, puts it down, it takes off, and he runs after it. Rince and repeat. It is the antithesis to those remote control cars that don't invite any physical movement in the child at all (we all know 3 yr old boys need to burn off energy, not have "energy saving" devices so they can sit on their butts). The car seems to be quite solid, having fallen off the table several times as it zoomed off (it really is a floor toy) and it keeps him occupied for quite a long time. It was very helpful on a long trip. You can shut it off and it is played with quietly, or turn it on and have the attraction of movement, sound and action. I don't usually like movie tie-in toys, but this one is a winner.

GREAT Toy!
At first I was surprised at how small the car was. I figured it was much bigger for some reason. But it's great and loads of fun for my son! Love it!

Great toy for a little guy!
I got this toy for my 2-year old nephew who loves Lightning McQueen. He was super excited and started playing with it right away. It's fairly small, but it was the perfect size for him. He has to use two hands to shake it but he loves putting it down and watching it go. I'm not sure how entertaining it would be for an older child, but overall it's the perfect toy for my nephew!
