Bose Triport Headphones4
I've only had these headphones a short time but they have performed
exceptionaly well. The sale price of $126.00 with no sales tax makes them
a very good buy. The sound is clear and crisp, the bass is adiquate but not great. They have been comfortable to wear for two to three hours but longer than that some fatigue starts to set in. Bose is known for it's brand and quality, so at this price I highly recomend these headphones. You certenly can spend more, but will your ears really be able to tell the difference to justify the higher cost.

Best Bass For The Price4
This is the second pair of these in my house. The build is a bit cheap for the price & being Bose & all. The headband is not properly glued to the ear cup on some. On my son's pair the headband came off the ear cup. It didn't break it came unglued...? The pins were intact. I don't know what kind've glue they use but it sucks. It only happened on one side. 2 drops of superglue resolved the issue for about a year & a half now. He is not gentle on anything including these.

My nephew has the same headphones & his issue was the insulation separating from the delicate wire leaving exposed wire with no support at the ear cup. They still work but the insulation was broken & pulled back 1/8". He said he regularly falls asleep with them on so there's most most likely been a lot tension applied. In his case it left nothing on the ear cup side to maybe cut the wire & shrink wrap without opening up the cup for some slack.

So yeh, the build is disappointing for a $140.00 Bose (or any other)product.

On the sound side these things rock. As mentioned earlier my son has a pair. I often "borrowed" them when he was not around because I liked how they sounded compared with my $25 Sony's. When I decided to buy my own headphones I intentionally avoided these thinking I could do better even spending a bit more money proving once again that I'm smarter than him...lol.

After moving into the $200.00 range on well known can's that I wasn't happy with & returned, I admitted defeat & returned to the Bose Around Ear Headphones.

Yes, you can get a better sounding set by spending into the $300.00 range & up but if you know how to treat them they sound great for the price. I've had mine for almost 2 years & haven't had either of the issues mentioned. I've fallen asleep more than once with'em on so maybe they've fixed the build issues.

I'm a bit of a basshead & love these. The bass is very powerful. The mid's & high's are lacking if anything but the bass kicks hard. They are a little large but they're pretty light weight. All the outside the ear phones get to the point that you need a break after an hour or so. I've seen a few pictures in the wife's People Mag. of stars jogging & they're wearing these.

I listen to a wide range of music from Grateful Dead to country to Andrea Bocelli. Enjoying female vocalists like Linda Eder to Sara Evans lately for what it's worth.

It's a treat to put these on & listen to some good tunes if you like some chest thumping bass.
