Easier to use than expected
The bundle of Pentax components for the K10D is not delivered in a "bubble pack" as the picture shown on the Amazon web site would indicate. It is delivered in individual pieces complete with boxes and packaging - a much better way. After researching the big 3 - Canon, Nikon and Pentax I decided to go with the Pentax as I had 2 film cameras from Pentax in the past and the reviews I had read were positive. My only concern was that the camera was going to be too complicated to use in those "snapshot" opportunities that seem to occur far more than the posed suituations. However, I unpacked the components, read the intial set up instructions and proceeded to take some practice shots in the "point and shoot" mode. I was using the 50-200mm zoom lens to take pictures of humming birds. The results were fantastic. I am now proceeding to learn how to use the many options on the camera, but for any one who has every used a SLR in the past, they will find that they will be able to shoot "straight from the box" and then get to know the camera through usgae. I am very happy with my choice.
