An effort in frustration
I ordered this futon near the end of May. I also ordered an innerspring mattress from another company on the same day(http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000NRGAJK - fabulous mattress, btw).

The mattress arrived within days of ordering.

Nearly two weeks later, when the futon arrived, the wooden arms were broken. The arms are packaged with styrofoam between them, but there is no packaging whatsoever between the arms and the cardboard box. One of the arms was shattered. The nails on the other arm were pulled apart.

I called the company on a Tuesday evening and was assured that I'd have replacement arms by Friday evening.

Nothing on Friday. I called at the beginning of the following week and spoke with another representative of the company. I was again assured that the arms would go out immediately and I would have them by Friday.

Nothing on Friday. I called AGAIN at the beginning of the following week. This time I spoke with a manager and expressed my displeasure at being lied to twice before about receiving replacement arms.

He assured me that my arms would go out that day, and that I would have them by Wednesday.

They didn't go out that day; they went out the next day. The arms arrived on Thursday when I was out of town.

The replacement arms were in satisfactory condition when they arrived.

I would NOT recommend this futon to anyone.

Serta Futon
Very nice unit.Went together very easily and all the holes lined up. It did, however, arrive with a crack in one of the wooden arms. This was fixed with some glue and is against a wall so no claim was started.
