NOT 150 Watts
This is not a 150 Watt unit. It comes with a 100 watt bulb and a 50 watt bulb. There is no way to use them at the same time, as one works with the battery pack and the other (50w) works when you plug the cord into an outlet. So don't be decieved by the description. 100 watts is the brightest light you will get. Also, mine was delivered without the adapter cord that allows you to plug the light into the battery pack. I've contacted 47th St. Photo... we'll see if they make it right. UPDATE: After 1 month (5/08) the seller (47th St. Photo) still has not sent me the cords that I need to use the light. VERY poor seller. I guess I can use the batter pack as a paperweight or door stop... arrrgh!
It works as it should
I picked this up for my VX2100. I shoot a lot in a school and come across a lot of low to weird lighting situations. The battery pack is VERY heavy. I attach it to the tripod and it serves as a stabilizing weight. There were no charging instructions for the battery. ZERO tech support. It is fairly simple to figure how to connect everything together. From what I understand the battery take 16 hours charge and has no memory which is nice. It got 4 stars because of: No tech support, no instructions but from what I can tell so far it all functions as it should.
Do not waste your money
This is a piece of garbage, 100 wats ligth only works with AC. With the battery only works 50 watts light, the battery charge duration is only 30 minutes, very disapointed with this buy.
