Comply Foam Tips are a premium earphone upgrade that comfortably seal the ear canal to provide high levels of noise isolation and retention. They are made from unique breathable memory foam that is activated by body heat and becomes ultra soft, reducing irritation and fatigue. Once inside the ear, this foam will expand to create a seal, funneling pure sound into the ear canal, enhancing the listening experience. The comfortable seal allows music to be enjoyed without raising the volume level to compensate for external noise. Comply T-400 tips are compatible with the following earphone models: Apple Premium in-ear headphones, Audio-Technica ATH-CK7, Creative EP-630, Denon AH-C351, Denon AH-C700, JBL Reference 220, JVC HA-FX55, JVC HA-FX66, JVC HA-NCX77, Koss KEB24, Koss KEB79, Philips SHE9500, Philips SHE9501, Philips SHS8000, Plantronics Voyager 855, Sennheiser CX300, Sennheiser CX400, Sennheiser CX500, Skullcandy Titan, Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket (FMJ), Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) iPhone, Skullcandy INK'D, Skullcandy Smokin' Buds, Sony MDR-AS40EX, Sony MDR-EX32, Sony MDR-EX51LP Fontopia, Sony MDR-EX55LP, Sony MDR-EX71SLA, Sony MDR-EX81LP, Sony MDR-EX85LP, Sony [ For complete compatibility listing go to www.complyfoam.com ]

Best tip yet for Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5
I give this item 5 stars because it's the best yet for the above earphones. They slide fairly easily over the "sound tubes" and give me a good seal, which, is paramount on these types of earphones. The material of the Comply's also don't allow the Super.Fi's to slip back out of my ears -- which happened about every 3 minutes using the stock tips, regardless of size. The only stock tips that didn't eventually slip out of my ears were the foam ones, but those felt rough and abrasive. These are sleek and slide in comfortably and stay there, the material expanding to fit the minute countours of my ear. And aside from fit and comfort, the Super.Fi's sound best with Complys to me.
Down side - they get gunky after a while, and need to be changed out. The stock tips (not the foam ones)could be wiped or rinsed off, these do not clean. After a hundred hours or so of listening, they look... embarrassingly funky -- but still sound fine. The material is kinda spongy and "soaks" up all your lovely ear secretions. Which turns out to be more than you'd think.
Improving in-ear heaphone performance
I purchased the Sennheiser CX-400 in-ear headphones. I did not like the earpieces that came with the headphones and I am using the Comply T-400 foam tips instead. They are more comfortable and make a better seal for noise abatement.
Necessity
These eartips were a really great investment for a number of reasons:
1) They offer a tight seal for maximum noise isolation and bass response.
2) They are extremely comfortable. I can wear them for hours and not even notice they are there, even though they are inserted deep into my ear canal.
3) It is only $5 a pair, and I have heard these last for months before the foam starts to lose its elasticity.
4) They stay in your ears no matter how much you shake your head or move around
They obviously also have a few downsides:
1) They tend to roll off the highs a little bit, nothing too extreme, but if you are an audiophile like I am just beware (I have my ipod set to treble boost to compensate)
2) The foam DOES degrade after some time, and although it takes awhile, it just sucks.
3) They are extremely annoying to get on and off of the headphones - it feels like the foam will tear off (it doesn't)
Overall, this stuff is a necessary luxury - buy it and you won't be disappointed.
