Best camera for the money. Canon's are better than Nikon's for digital noise since you'll be shooting almost exclusive at an ISO of 1600.

Worth every penny!! You'll need the wide aperture and 2.8 will do the trick. 1.8 primes are nice but don't make as much sense in a concert setting when you need to stay as flexible as possible.

This and the 16-35mm will have you covered for most venues. You won't need an extreme telephoto zoom until you hit the big leagues.

Protect those lenses! It's much cheaper to replace a scratched UV filter than a $1200 lens. In fact, you might wanna just go ahead and get 2 so you won't have to switch every time you switch lenses.

You'll need a medium sized case to lug any extra lenses and equipment around while you're at the concert. This is a much more comfortable alternative to a shoulder case and it's all-weather!
