It runs of 4 AA batteries. I would invest in a few packs of rechargeable batteries for the flash. Sure, it's $12 for a pack of 4, but it is well worth it - trust me.

Buy new: $189.00 Good starter flash meter. This meter has a Lumasphere and takes incident and reflective light reading. It also has a pc outlet for corded flash/strobe metering for studio work. In the studio, on some occasions I did receive an error message when trying to take a reading. It is still a good flash meter none the less.
