What do an ex-con, a former drug addict, a real estate broker, a college student, and a married mother of two have in common?
Nothing, or so I thought. Who would have imagined that God would make a prayer group as mismatched as ours the closest of friends? I almost didn't even go the Chicago Women's Conference--after all, being thrown together with five hundred strangers wasn't exactly my "comfort zone." But something happened that weekend to make us realize we had to hang together, and the "Yada Yada Prayer Group" was born! When I faced the biggest crisis of my life, God used my newfound Sisters to show me what it means to be just a sinner saved by grace.

Fantastic read...
I happened upon this first novel of the Yada Yada series at a local Christian book store, took a chance, and bought it. I became totally engrossed in the characters and their lives-that is, once I got all the characters straight because there are quite a few. I found Jackson's book inspirational, thought-provoking, entertaining, timely and true to the Chicago suburb in which it is set. It is a story of life- in terms of the joys, laughters, sorrows, bewilderment we sometimes face in this world. More importantly, it is a story that inspires the reader as to the possibilities of obtaining redemption from even the most difficult of circumstances, and the ability to experience joy and laughter in spite of these circumstances. What a great book for any Christian (or for that matter, non-Christian) woman to read. It also offers hope and inspiration as to what the world can be if we only open our hearts a little wider...I gave it 4 stars because the characters were only begining to develop in the first novel. The subsequent novels are even better. So far, I'm wrapping up Book 3 and can't wait to start Book 4.
Funny and touching
I ran across this book quite by accident at my church. It looked interesting so I thought I'd read it. Well, I just fell in love with it and can't wait to read the other books in this series. It was very entertaining, yet thought provoking and touching. It does make you realize how important it is for us to pray for each other and together. I highly recommend this book.
great read!
I recently read this book, after it was recommended to me by the "girls" in my Bible study. I loved it! It's an entertaining read, yet thought- provoking, and inspirational at the same time.
