Customer Reviews
Strong, versatile and easy to install
This was very easy to assemble. You must definately use a stud finder for mounting bracket, after that it's a piece of cake. It gives full 180 views and we definately enjoy the TV being up and out of the way. It adds so much free space to the room. I used mine in the tilt down angle in which most people are afraid to do. Most TV's have a place to wrap the cord around the back. You can use that to help hold down the back of the TV. Even though I trust the TV strap that comes with it, I felt better just knowing the back of the TV was also secured. I used a black shoe lace so it would blend in. A long tie wrap would be perfect for this application. We used a 20 inch TV and have the piece of mind that if our needs change we just loosen a few screws and expand to 25 or 27. We are very pleased with this product.
Good TV Wall Mount
This TV wall mount is holding a television that is at least 10 years old. So the older t.v.'s are big and bulky. Weight is not an issue for this wall mount. The only drawback is that it brings screws to be used on wood walls not meant for CBS construction. We did have to purchase special bolts to mount the stand. Other than that, this product is as described and holds excellent.
Not bad, but keep in mind...
...you get what you pay for. This is a simple, inexpensive mount. The price and free fast shipping are great. The quality compared to more expensive units shows it's decidedly cheap steel from overseas. Also, the specs are slightly misleading. You can mount TVs up to 27" wide, not necessarily a 27" model. The weight limit is 60lbs when you tilt it to the 10 degree position. The manual is 16 pages long, but in 17 languages including English. 6 of the pages are diagrams that are pretty good. The hardware comes in a very nice, clever strung together pouches that are clearly labeled. The strap is good to poor depending on the design of you set. Some sets are too slanted or rounded for the strap to really hold onto. (This goes for all TV mount straps though.) I like to find a safe place in the TV chassis and run sheet metal screws from underneath up into the plastic underside of the TV. I have mounted approximately 1000 TVs in my line of work. This one is fine, but I would only recommend it for lighter, smaller TVs. If you read all the way to the end of this, I apologize for the horrible editing. I just got called away and this is my rough-rough draft. I hope some of the info dump here is useful to someone though.
