Wrong picture, but still a good inexpensive product.4
I ordered this cable to have a cheap way to sync my PSP on the road. I was rather surprised when I got a retractable cable that also includes the proper charging tip for the PSP. (Not what shown in the photo.) It's an added bonus, as the retractable plays well when you just want to throw this into a bag and take it with you, and it's nice to be able to charge the PSP on the road without bringing the whole stock charger with you. If you have anything else that uses the same size AC plug (my old Dell Axim with the dongle, for instance) you can use it, as well as using the Mini-B end to charge other accessories (most new Motorola phones, for example.) I charge both my TomTom ONE and my Motorola bluetooth headset with this cable. It's multi-use *and* indispensable.

Pros: Retractable, includes PSP charger tip, compact.

Cons: Charges slower than a wall charger (limitation of the USB port...not the design of the cable.)

It works if you know how to use it.5
When I hooked my psp to my computer I was confused when my computer wouldn't detect my psp. In order for the connection to be usable you need to to the system menu of your psp and select usb. Then the system will become connected to the computer and you can save files from your pc to your memory stick. Also if you download sony's media manager for the psp it becomes much easier to transfer files back and forth. The downside is that you have to pay for the media manager.

Not for PSP 3000 - For PSP 2000 & PSP2
I ordered this when I ordered my PSP 3000. When I received it, the item was labeled for PSP 2000 & PSP. Called Amazon to check if it would work with PSP 3000, they did not know, told me to ask Intec (the manufacturer) and gave me their telephone. Called several times, couldn't talk to a live person and had to leave messages, but they never called back. Intec's website does not provide support contact telephone number or email. In fact, when the "Customer Service" link on their website is clicked, a blank page comes up. The PSP 3000 is not even listed. So I have no idea if it would work for PSP 3000. I need to return this unopened in order to get a refund. Intec is not responsive, and customer service certainly doesn't seem to be a priority to them--although they printed on the box that they have a lifetime warranty and will repair and replace, what good are those words if they don't provide a means for contact, and messages are not returned, and the "customer service" page is blank--pretty empty words. So beware before you buy. PSP USB Cable I was able to use USB cable from my Garmin to make the connection, so I don't know if I need this product at all.
