You don't want this power supply
As a travel charger the "stick adapter" is a very poor choice. Let me tell you why. The design is kind of clever in appearance and characteristically SONY in this regard, and the construction is good. However a very basic mistake was made in the design. The skinny, low voltage wire (19V) that goes between the power adapter and the computer is only six inches long. This means that if you are using your lap top on your lap, that the charger must be on your lap too. And this is too much to juggle. It is just impossible to balance these two objects on your lap and give your full focus to your work. The charger does work fine on a desk, but this is not what a travel charger is for. So which charger do I take when I travel? I take the standard bulky one. And which charger sits on my desk? The expensive "travel" charger. SONY used to be a really good company. Products like the walkman changed the way that people listened to music, both completely and forever. That time is now past, which is a disappointment to the long term fans (like me) of their former products. You don't want this power supply for travel and for desk use the regular one is lower in price.

Works perfectly.
The other reviewer is correct in that the DC portion of the cable is fairly short, which if you would need to use it any situation other than a desk it could be a problem. Otherwise, the usability and storage are good.

Decent for travel
I use this adapter because it fits into my travel bag for my computer. Surprisingly, the size isn't any smaller than the standard adapter. The only advantage is that the adapter's long, narrow profile (1.5" x 1.5" x 8" Approx) fits better into the bag, and the included storage bag keeps the cables together. The cord between the adapter and the computer is too short, keeping the rating at 4 stars. When using the adapter with the computer on your lap there isn't really a good place to put the adapter itself. An additional 6-8 inches on the cord would make this unit perfect.
