Quick review of BDO Portable Slim External CD Burner / External DVD Burner With Lightscribe
Product works great. Only shortfall is there is no Lightscribe software, driver, manual, etc. that comes with the product. There is no mention of how this drive can be used with Lightscribe to burn images on top of the disc to label your disk. If you email DB Roth you will be sent several links to get what you need.

Nice compact unit in neutral white finish
This is a great little DVD burner for anyone needing a drive for any functions concerning CDs and DVDs. I bought this one especially for setting up the newest Netbooks, which come without drives due to physical size limitations.

Using external drives and portable usb "thumb" drives is good for many applications and backup situations. But nothing beats having a DVD drive handy for original program or system installations. This unit is very compact, easily slipping into a notebook case along with the computer. Plus, it's quickly recognized by XP and Vista simply by plugging in.

It plays CDs and DVDs very well, and does a fairly quick job burning media too. For all these reasons, I would highly recommend this drive to anyone! I gave it a "five" star rating. On a 100% scale, I would rate it at least 95%.

good investment, works great
1. I though the price was pretty steep.
2. It takes longer then I would have expected from a new driver to copy a CD into my itunes.

But it can do everything it said it can do, and dose it well, just a tad slower then I would have liked. I thought we were in the future already were everything goes at lightning speed, guess not.
