Twenty-five years ago Baffin Footwear began manufacturing moulded insulated and non-insulated footwear products. While traditional moulded boots are suitable for some conditions they are not ideal for cold temperatures. Baffin combines leading molding technology with a foam-based inner boot system, which creates a hybrid style of high performance footwear. This equates to more warmth, better fit, and superior comfort. Baffin uses an unrivalled 8-layer combination of materials that is used in their boots that are rated to -148 degree fahrenheit temperature range. Baffin boots are different to most shoes and work boots because the sole and midsole is moulded to the base in one continuous process. The sole itself is a marvel of modern engineering because it is made up of several advanced thermo-set polymers that are combined together to achieve the right balance of warmth, protection, low weight and grip. This in combination with a Polymech foam removable lining system and innovative Timberwolf leather and Diamond-Lite insulated nylon uppers, creates a relentless focus on perfect boots and winter shoes. warm and stylish
great boots, got a pair for both my children- kept their feet warm and toasty.

Warm with caveats
I bought these boots for my 3-yr old to use on our family skiing holiday. They performed the job of keeping his feet warm very well, however, we did have a couple of malfunctions both caused by either poor quality control or manufacturing methods namely the inner-boot stitching came undone and the inner boot fell apart and the stitching holding the Velcro closing came undone. I fixed both by resewing but was disappointed to have done so on boots that were days old.
In summary an excellent product was let down - in my case - by post machine work. I would highly recommend the boots for parents of active toddlers who like to play in the snow.
