From the Manufacturer
The Resting Up with Heartbeat Sleep Positioner includes a patented heartbeat sensation to soothe baby and offers an inclined sleep surface for your baby to aid digestion. This inclined surface also keeps baby centered in the crib and sleeping on his back, as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. The heartbeat feature has three different settings: Heartbeat mode re-creates the heartbeat feeling from the womb and automatically turns to Listening mode after 10 minutes; Listening mode allows the positioner to "listen" for your baby. If baby starts to cry, the heartbeat sound will automatically turn back on to comfort your baby to sleep; the Combo mode begins in Heartbeat and after 10 minutes fades to Listening mode. Designed with baby's comfort in mind, the comfortable and breathable AirCare foam is covered with FloThru fabric to provide better air circulation for a comfortable surface and to help prevent overheating. The positioning wedges are fully adjustable and the entire positioner can be machine washed. The Resting Up® with Heartbeat Sleep Positioner includes the TOTs reminding system to help parents remember to alternate the directing they lay baby down to sleep. This helps prevent Plagiocephaly, or Flat Head Syndrome.

waste of money
We purchased this for our baby girl when she was 2 weeks old and wow, what a dissapointment. As soon as we would lay her on it, it would immediately lay flat. It is also very easy for a baby to roll out of, at any age. Just simple flailing around, that all little babies do, was enough for it to tip from side to side and her to slip down to the bottom of it. I did not feel safe using this at all. Also, if you have a baby with severe GERD, like we do, this DOES NOT elevate enough to control the problem. How they can claim it aids in digestion, I will never know. We purchased the Tucker wedge/sling and she is sleeping like a baby should. Don't waste your time with this positioner.
Incline does not stay up! Possibly dangerous!
I bought this today, excited that it looked comfy and about the heartbeat feature. It looks like it would be comfortable and would hold a very small newborn in place, however, it's WAY TOO SMALL for my 11 week old (11 lbs and 22in with short legs). Her legs dangled uncomfortably off the edge (not like in the picture). This product is supposed to be useful up to 6 months of age or until the baby can roll over on their own.
The main reason I wanted this positioner was for the incline feature however - INCLINE DOES NOT STAY UP with any amount of weight on it.
The sides adjusted and stayed in place just fine so I had hoped the incline would be the same, but I was mistaken. It's not even the same structural material as the sides and wouldn't you think the head incline would be the stronger of the two considering most of a baby's weight is in their head???
VERY DISAPPOINTED, especially since it is pretty expensive compared to other sleep positioners which is why I got it in the first place thinking it would work.
I think the heartbeat feature is wonderful and I'm wondering if it would have worked for my daughter that loves to sleep on my chest and hear my own heartbeat. But I'll never find out since the darn thing is a joke.
The bottom is also curved so it doesn't sit flat - it teeters from side to side, therefore I'm calling it POSSIBLY DANGEROUS. I read other reviews that stated their baby tipped it over (mind you these are babies that are NOT able to roll over on their own yet) and they were face down with the positioner still on their backs!!
Not willing to risk that with my daughter!
Save your time and money, and find a different one with better reviews.
EVERY BABY IS DIFFERENT!
I used this for my third child, and loved it. Unfortunately, it was only used for 2 weeks, but those two weeks were excellent. Now I roll up blankets and put her in there. I did the same for my other two children and they loved it also. Babies are used to feeling close because thats all they've known. This product was awesome!
