I have and love all three of the Alexis McDougal Books and my daughters and I just laugh at her antics, however, at the same time there is always a couple of valuable lessons that my children & I get from the stories. However, this book is really needed in our society today to help children become aware of their environments and to give them tools to learn how to protect themselves, how to trust themselves, and where to go for help if they are in danger. This book also took me back to my own personal life experience and allowed me to forgive myself for the things that have happened in my past. It allowed be to stop being a victim.
