be late, be frustrated, buy this product! (changed review)
0 stars not 4, I've reviewed my opinion of this product.
The alarm is not reliable, the sound quality sucks, the display is too bright, you will have to wrestle with its own desire to set the time itself (incorrectly), and you can't use the soundscape function while falling asleep unless you want "waterfall" to be the sound to wake up to.
This this is one of the worst products I have ever purchased. If you purchase it you will hate it. I promise.
Nice features...but mine has an odd bug...
All in all, I'm pretty happy with the features of the HoMedic Sound Spa. I like the blue...it doesn't disrupt the darkness of our room nearly as much a my wife's iHome iH5, I really liked the whitenoise generator for the brief time we were living over a busy city street...Works great with my iPod. The projector is decent for night use, can't see it during the day...would be nice if it had a light-sensing auto-off for it...
My unit does have an odd little bug, I'm curious whether others have had any problems...Every once in awhile, it resets to 7AM (6AM if the DST swich is moved). I can reset the time, but as soon as a minute passes, it resets back to 7AM again. It remains locked there unless I disconnect all power. This has happened in different locations, with and without the backup battery installed, with a fresh backup battery, with and without the iPod docked...I probably should replace it while it's under warranty....but it gives me a really convenient excuse to sleep in.

I have owned this product for 5 months. The problems pointed out by other reviewers are all true. Extremely poor radio reception. The time is impossible to read unless you are looking at it straight on. Buttons are poorly placed. You must reach around the back and feel for multiple tiny buttons just to turn the alarm on or off. Controlling the ipod through the docking system is awkward. Sound quality is poor. To top it all off, mine just stopped working and it appears I have no recourse through Amazon. Save your money. There are better choices out there.
