Great Study Bible for front line soldiers in war
I helped develop a study for New Christians at my church in Texas seven years ago. We used the NIV Starting Point Study Bible as our designated Bible for the class. We found it the most helpful Bible for new Christians available on the market, and even to this day it remains true. Over 1300 people attended our study over 5 years.

Now, I find myself as a contractor for the war on terror in Iraq. Many combat soldiers here are becoming Christians, and people back home are sending copies of the NIV Starting Point Bible for the soldiers at the Chapel services. A number of soldiers who are not Christians are asking for the 'blue' Bibles the other soldiers are carrying around. The introduction of the Starting Point Bible includes a presentation of how to become a Christian, so it becomes a great witnessing tool for soldiers looking for answers. Other new Christian soldiers are getting the study Bibles for their bunk-mates and sharing with them how they can find Christ also. The Starting Point Bible will be an invaluable tool for these soldiers as they usually have a good amount down time.

This Bible is a great addition to any care package headed for the front lines in Iraq and Afghanistan...

A Great Starting Point
This is a wonderful bible. It has a great format. It is so easy to read and understand. It tells you at the beginning of each book, who wrote it where they wrote it. It is great for new christians who are looking for a place to start. I have a friend that is a longtime faithful christian and she also fell in love with my new bible. It is not big , perfect to carry to church, beautiful navy blue cover, and the outside of the pages and silver. I recommend this highly.

Really is perfect for New & Recommited Christians!
I'm 18 and was "saved" back in 1995 and never really did my part to see to it that I had a relationship with God. I never read the Bible, never felt anything, and had been through some things with certain Christians that made me really turned off by them. But this year, I felt lost and couldn't figure out why. Everything was going great for me, but for some reason I felt depressed. Then out of nowhere I discovered that my Dad had been having an affair for more than 2 years and my parents were getting divorced after 20+ years of marriage. It came as a total shock. But what's even more sad is that it took my parents splitting up to realize that was we all were missing in life was GOD. I came across this Bible at a most unlikely place- our State Fair- and I've finally found what I've been needing. This Bible is unitimidating, well organized, and has really made it easier for me to understand what the Word of God is saying. Every new or recommited Christian should check it out.
