knockoff problem
Q) What do you do when you produce what is the standard by which boat shoes are measured (Sperry Billfish) and your competitors are marketing cheaper knockoffs?

A) Produce your own cheaper knockoff.

I own both these and a pair of Billfish. They are both very nice shoes, but I suspect these won't last as long as my Billfish. Mostly the difference is in materials, which are all cheaper, and a few small cuts in construction quality.

Hunt for bargains. I got mine at a boatshow for US $25. At that price, I would definitely buy these again.
