Amazon.com Product Description
The Fiskars softouch polished aluminum trowel features a comfortable and sturdy grip molded over a rust-free polished aluminum shaft. The oversized cushion grip is easy to hold, even during extended use, and the one-piece high strength cast aluminum alloy resists bending. The unit's patented grip features a "flat end" that allows the user to push the tool into a variety of different soils easier. The shape also helps maintain a neutral wrist position to reduce fatigue. The tool comes with a hang hole for convenient storage, and a limited lifetime warranty.

Amazon.com Review
Spend an afternoon digging in the garden with the Fiskars Softouch trowel and then look down at your hands. Or, better yet, flex your hands. Notice the lack of calluses and pain-free sensation flowing through your fingertips? This garden trowel is indispensable to any garden tool collection thanks to Fiskars's patented Softouch design, which provides maximum comfort and results in less hand fatigue because the wrist remains in a neutral position during use. This one-piece, high-strength cast-aluminum trowel also features beveled edges, a hanging hole, and graduation marks in the transplanter. This trowel is just one of a large line of Fiskars tools ideal for planting, cultivating, weeding, and transplanting. --Rivers Janssen

Customer Reviews

Broke, not as strong as looks2
This trowel looks great, nice soft touch handle and is aluminum so it won't rust.. so why 2 stars? I have used it only a few times, and it did reasonably well, then, all of a sudden it shattered at the handle. Usually trowels will bend, but the aluminum scoop is over what looks to be some kind of carbony shaft that attaches to handle, and it just snapped in two... I think if you use this in any kind of clay/rocky soil you would be better off going with something forged. good luck!

Broke during the first use1
The first time I used this trowel it broke in two! It snapped where the blade attaches to the handle. It looks like it is solid metal entering the handle but it's actually hollow, filled with something gritty that resembles cement. I expected much better from Fiskars. I ended up buying a Craftsman trowel from Sears which is much better quality and was no more expensive than the Fiskars.

Strong, Comfortable Grip, Lightweight Design5
I use this heavily to till the soil in my flower beds because of its broad shoulders and sharp point. Although its used mostly for troweling, it's narrow enough to be used for planting and broad enough for transplanting. I have a tool for every job but I find this is the only digging tool I really need to bring along. If you're debating which type of hand digger to get (planter, transplanter, troweler, etc.), I would stick with this troweler

The handle is very comfortable, important when jabbing it into the ground repeatedly to loosen the soil. The wooden tools I've used in the past have been very hard on my hands but, I come away with no pain with this design.

The polished alumnium is VERY strong, light weight, mostly scratch resistant and does not rust. The textured material on the handle does collect dirt and has to be scrubbed to get clean.
