Made in France of high-fired stoneware with a non-porous enamel glaze, the canister won't absorb odors or flavors, resists staining and chipping, and is dishwasher-safe. Product would be great but....
3 Stars (5* for product, 5* for Amazon replacement, 1* for manufacture packaging)

I purchased this, along with other sizes for my wife for mothers day. Unfortunately, it arrived chipped. I sent it back and Amazon immediately sent me a replacement. Unfortunately, the second one also arrived chipped. Amazon would not send a replacement stating that there must be a problem with the batch they received. I'm going to order a 3rd once my refund goes through (afterall, need to complete the set for my wife)

Overall, the product (based on the other sizes) is excellent. Also, Amazon's customer service in replacing the original item was also excellent. Too bad the product was broke (assuming no fault to Amazon).

OUTSTANDING Quality (but you pay for it)
I purchased 5 canisters and a utensil crock for my wife for Mother's Day. All arrived in perfect condition. The price is "top-of-the-line," but the quality is outstanding, and validates the old adage that you get what you pay for.

Would have been 5 stars but 3 out of 4 arrived broken
I was so looking forward for a set of these canisters but to my disappointment, only 1 out of 4 survived the poor packaging. And the customer service rep said they were not in stock so that I couldn't order replacements for the 3 broken ones. I see that there are red ones available but I need blue. Otherwise, the quality is good but watch out for bad packing.
