Customer Reviews
great ski helmet
I bought the Giro G9 for a recent 5 day ski trip. I found it to be very comfortable- It was easy to forget you were wearing it. This is not easy to admit as I was quite reluctant to start wearing a helmet. The quick size adjustment mechanism in the rear was my favorite feature. It allowed you to quickly and easily customise the fit and made wearing a helmet liner on really cold days very easy.A couple of clicks on the adjuster made room in the helmet for the liner instantly. No more "too tight with the liner and too loose without it" compromises. this was the feature that put this helmet ahead of its competitors for me.
Finally
I have been looking for a good skiing/snowboarding/telemark helmet for 20 years and here it is. I have had lots of problems finding something that fits my hugehead and finally here it is. Comfortable, warm and good looking, but with enough ventilation for warmer days. I haven't tried the optional headphones/headset, but if you like that I am sure it will work fine. I like the sound of wind in my ears :-)
Noggin' saver!
Well, I have to give this item 5 stars, because it has saved my life! I got it in the color Sepia, which looks very fashionable for ladies. I ski a lot and sometimes fall and hit my head on hard snow. This helmet does a great job preventing serious injuries on the slopes. I see so many people out there without helmets, and they just don't realize how serious it can be if your head hits the snow!
Before I bought the helmet, I read helmet reviews on Backcountry.com. Here is a link to the article. The Giro G9 did very well in these reviews!
