    Yes, this bat is shaped more like a baseball bat (the barrel isn't nearly as long, so the "sweet spot" is more narrow). However, in a U10 league, it is a wonderful tool. It is light weight, so even smaller girls can easily handle it. The core is well made, so even a little bit of contact leads to a much more productive hit. I personally like the smaller sweet spot because it forces girls to LOOK at the ball when they hit and learn to position the bat where the ball is, not where they want it to be. For the discount price, you're not going to get anything comparable to this one.

    In the picture the bat looks like a regular regulation softball bat like it should be. However upon reciving the bat and seing it firsthand it's shaped like a bastball bat. Leaving a smaller sweet spot for batting. Also once the coach noticed that fact my child eas told she can't use it playing on the school team beacuse of the shape even though it is stamped with the proper fast pitch regulations.
