Editorial Review
If you grew up with a Radio Flyer wagon but lost it along the way, here's your chance to own a brand-new one. The body and sides are made of finished wood. Painted bright red, the stake sides simply lift out, leaving you with a natural-finish flat bed. Steel wheels with big, inflatable pneumatic tires roll easily on pavement or rough terrain. At 33.5 inches, the extra-long handle facilitates easy turning. The wagon bed is 36 inches long, 15 inches wide, 9 inches high, and 21 inches from the ground to the top of wagon. The durable-tread rubber tires are 10.5 inches in diameter and 3 inches wide. If you're lucky, your child might let you borrow this wonderful wagon. --Louise Carter

Love Radio Flyer Wagons!
We purchased this at Christmas for our 26 month old granddaughter after much searching. I knew I wanted a Radio Flyer since my family had one when I was little and it lasted through all the children and then was passed to friends with children! Wish we had kept it for the grandchildren. We wanted one easily stored, not easily tipped when crawling into it and large enough tires to give a good ride. We found all of this in this wagon and it was on sale with free shipping! This grandma could not be more pleased!!
We like this old school wagon!
Purchased for my one year old son as a birthday gift, I can tell it will get a lot of use as he gets older. However, the bottom of it, where the child sits, has already started to crack. We'll probably have to put a blanket down on it so he doesn't scratch his little bottom! Otherwise, love it.
IT'S A GOOD WAGON, BUT IT'S NOT LIKE THE OLD RADIO FLYERS
That's the reason for only 4 stars. The old Flyers used more substantial and heavier steel in the parts. I was also surprised to find that the wheel hubs are PLASTIC instead of steel. I suppose that's a trade off tho, because plastic tends to be self lubricating.
This wagon was bought for adult purposes... in this case, part of a portable solar energy project. Photovoltaic panels generate electricity from sunlight, but that electricity has to be stored to be useful. That means lead acid batteries, and those batteries are HEAVY. Six of my batteries are nearly a perfect fit for the wagon bed, and come in at nearly the wagon's maximum weight capacity of 250 pounds. There's enough space left over at the end of the wagon bed for attaching the battery charge controller on the rear side panel with double sided Velcro, and a bit of space is left over for storing the cable that attaches the batteries to the solar panels.
We'll see how the wagon stands up to this sort of heavyweight loading, but it seems substantial enough for the job.
