Product Description
A specialty of Gascony, foie gras is one of the world's great gastronomic delicacies. These fully cooked foie gras have a wonderfully rich flavor and silky smooth texture, and contain the finest liver, seasonings, and port wine. Foie gras needs to be served chilled. Traditionalists enjoy it on toasted bread with a glass of Sauternes, but it's equally good on a baguette with a glass of California red. If you want to be more inventive, try foie gras in salads, and if you want to be positively trendy, try it sauted or roasted.

Customer Reviews
Good for tinned foie gras.
This is a great quick foie gras if you can't source your own goose liver and need a long-storing quick pate. The funny thing is, I can find this locally for three times the price, so this is a bargain. Highly recommended.
Just what I needed.
I had recently gone through an agonizing breakup with someone I loved very much and I was searching for a "pick me up" to get me through the dark days. In the past, I had turned to canned corned beef hash and it had done the trick, but this time I really needed something special. I had a craving for the flesh of a forced-fed bird but I didn't really know if this existed. I did some research on the web and I discovered Foie Gras! I couldn't settle for anything less than a block of it. The shape and texture is absolutely divine! Since my first taste I was hooked! I now eat at least 2 cans a week. One day, I packed my bag full of this delightful snack and shared it with my friends at the YMCA. After they sampled it, I told them what it was made out of and they couldn't believe it. Two of them have bought Geese and have ambitions of making their own. I say "forget that", too much of a mess. I like it to be shaped like a can anyhow. It makes it easier to take out and eat in the car.
Money well spent
We had a frugal Christmas this year with cookbooks from Goodwill but I did spring for this foie gras and it was worth every penny.
