Really neat idea, great sex, story's foundation was lacking
I found this book, in some ways better than I expected, and in others seriously lacking.
I liked the idea of the main character, Allie, a new member of a magical group she has no knowledge of...and she's really important, but doesn't know how to fit it.
That she falls in love (and beds) two men, brothers, who have claimed her as their mate..for life.
The characters were pretty good...you were interested in them.. The sex was hot.. The magical stuff, was really really hokey..and not as believable as it should have been. And the knight character was just plain bad...a distraction to the story.
Depending on what you're looking for from your books, you may or may not want to purchase the next in this series.
Only 1 thing
Great sex scenes, but that's all it has going for it. Was too slow and didn't have enough suspense for me.
Interesting Book
The "Lords of Were" was the first book I have ever read by Bianca D'Arc. I am a great fan of steamy fantasy books and looked forward to this one. It was interesting and I will buy the next one but it was not as good of a book as it could have been. It was kind of like eating at a "Dennys" when you had hoped to eat at "Red Lobster." The food is okay and filling at Dennys but Red Lobster is just a little better.
The author develops her characters well and makes you care about them. The two werewolfs quickly fall in love with the beautiful and kind Druid type Priestess. Evil beings want her killed as they killed her mother years before. Love scenes were hot as they should be for this type of book. I did find it a little unbelievable that the heroine finds out her Mom had been in a menge marriage with werecougers and barely bats an eye. I think I would have been a little shocked to say the least. All in all the book is a keeper!
