Crap
Played Melee for about 5 minutes and concluded that this is a piece of crap. (all this applies to playing on the Wii FYI)
- First and foremost, the C stick didn't even work at all during Melee. I didn't try any other games because I only have Melee for GC. Absolutely no c-stick action. Unacceptable for Melee.
- The X and Y buttons are insensitive - you can press them down lightly and absolutely nothing will happen, you HAVE to press them hard. Unacceptable for Melee.
- The Z button is a cheap click instead of the nice smooth depression of the regular GC controller. If you L-cancel with Z like me, then once again - unacceptable for Melee
- The analog has a rough texture to it as you move it around. It works fine, but is the roughness is noticeable.
- My L button had a very cheap spring sound that the R button did not, as if the R button was made correctly but the L button was not...
Like the review above mine states, you get what you pay for. For a total of $11 with shipping, I thought I would get a steal, but sadly it really IS worth the $7 it costs. You should probably go with one of those $24 white controllers that are out there.
Works Great
I bought this controller specifically for Mario Kart double dash- a game that I 'get into' and take it out on the controller. My boyfriend and I have been playing nearly non-stop for about 2 weeks and the controller still works great. It is identical to the controllers produced by nintendo but it does not have the name-brand stamp.
Shipped unusable
I bought two of these to play super smash bros brawl with, and they dont work. The joysticks/analog sticks are horrible. It is like the springs inside, the "give" in the sticks has gone out--like it does on 10 years old controllers. And they were like this the first time I played with them as well, so I know I didn't do anything.
